Hadith 205
Sa'di bint Murayyah narrates: Once, after the passing of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked: "What is the reason, are you worried? Do you not like the rule of your cousin?" Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: "No! But I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) say: 'I know of a word that whoever utters it at the time of death, this word will be a light for him in his record. And because of this word, the person's body and soul will feel comfort at the time of death.'" (Talhah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated) "Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) passed away, but I was not able to ask him about this word." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "In my opinion, it is the same word that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) wanted his uncle (Abu Talib) to say. And if the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had known that any other word could be a greater means of salvation for his uncle than this word, he would have instructed him to say that word."
