Chapter: Obligation of Faith – A third narration explicitly stating the meaning we mentioned
Hadith 187
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، وَابْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ : ، قَالَ وَاقَدْ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدَي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ " .
Waqid bin Abdullah narrates from his father: He heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrating this statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): "Do not revert to disbelief after me, striking the necks of one another."
