Chapter: Obligation of Faith – Applying the name “faith” to one who fulfills a part of the branch of knowledge
Hadith 179
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذْ بْنِ مُعَاذْ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ ، حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ وَلَدِهِ وَوَالِدِهِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No person can be a believer until I become more beloved to him than his children, his parents, and all people."
