Hadith 174
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ بِالْبَصْرَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا : لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ ، فَشَهِدُوا أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ ، وَآمَنَوا بِي وَبِمَا جِئْتُ بِهِ ، عَصَمُوا مَنَي دِمَاءَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلا بِحَقِّهَا ، وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ " تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ ، قَالَهُ الشَّيْخُ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been commanded to fight against them until they acknowledge that there is no deity except Allah. When they testify that there is no deity except Allah, and believe in what I have brought, then they will protect their lives and wealth from me, except for the right of Islam, and their reckoning will be with Allah the Exalted."
