Hadith 127
Sayyiduna Zaid bin Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He asked Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) about a person who has intercourse but does not ejaculate, so Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Nothing, that is, ghusl, is obligatory upon him. Then Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard this from the tongue of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Zaid bin Khalid says: After this, I asked Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Zubair bin al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Talhah bin Ubaidullah (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him): and these gentlemen also gave a similar answer. The narrator named Abu Salamah says: Urwah bin Zubair told me that he asked Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) about this: so he also gave a similar answer on the authority of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
