ذكر البيان بأن خيار المشركين هم الخيار في الإسلام إذا فقهوا-
Clarification that the best among the polytheists become the best in Islam if they gain understanding
Hadith 92
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيَمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " النَّاسُ مَعَادِنُ فِي الْخَيْرِ وَالشَّرِّ ، خِيَارُهُمْ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ خِيَارُهُمْ فِي الإِسْلامِ ، فَقُهُوا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "People are like mines of gold and silver (i.e., sources of good or evil). Those who were the best among them in the pre-Islamic era are also the best in Islam, provided they gain understanding of the religion."
