Hadith 77
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Do not acquire knowledge in order to boast before the scholars, or to argue with the foolish, or to try to stand out in gatherings because of it. Whoever does so, (his end) is Hell."
Hadith 78
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“Whoever acquires knowledge by which the pleasure of Allah can be attained, but he acquires it only for some worldly benefit, then on the Day of Resurrection he will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise.”
This narration is also transmitted with another chain of narration.
Hadith 79
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement from Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying:
"Do not sit with those belonging to the Qadariyyah sect, and do not address them first."
