ذكر الزجر عن العلم بأمر الدنيا مع الانهماك فيها والجهل بأمر الآخرة ومجانبة أسبابها-
Warning against seeking worldly knowledge while neglecting the hereafter.
Hadith 72
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ السُّلَمِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبْغِضُ كُلَّ جَعْظَرِيٍّ جَوَّاظٍ سَخَّابٍ بِالأَسْوَاقِ ، جِيفَةٍ بِاللَّيْلِ ، حِمَارٍ بِالنَّهَارِ ، عَالِمٍ بِأَمْرِ الدُّنْيَا ، جَاهِلٍ بِأَمْرِ الآخِرَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“Indeed, Allah Almighty dislikes every harsh-natured, arrogant, miserly person who shouts in the markets, who sleeps at night like a corpse, and spends the day like a donkey. He is knowledgeable about worldly matters, but ignorant about the Hereafter.”
