ذكر البيان بأن هذا الفضل إنما يكون لمن أدى ما وصفنا كما سمعه سواء من غير تغيير ولا تبديل فيه-
Clarification that this virtue is for those who convey hadith exactly as heard, without alteration.
Hadith 68
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " رَحِمَ الِلَّهِ مَنْ سَمِعَ مِنِّي حَدِيثًا ، فَبَلَّغَهُ ، كَمَا سَمِعَهُ ، فَرُبَّ مُبَلَّغٍ أَوْعَى لَهُ مِنْ سَامِعٍ " .
Abdur Rahman bin Abdullah narrates from his father, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"May Allah have mercy on the person who hears something from me and then conveys it to others just as he heard it, because sometimes the one to whom it is conveyed preserves it better than the one who heard it directly."
