المقدمةIntroduction
باب الاعتصام بالسنة وما يتعلق بها نقلا وأمرا وزجرا - ذكر البيان بأن النواهي سبيلها الحتم والإيجاب إلا أن تقوم الدلالة على ندبيتها-

Hadith 19
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْبُخَارِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا أَهْلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلُكُمْ سُؤَالُهُمْ وَاخْتِلافُهُمْ عَلَى أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ ، فإذا نَهِيَتُكُمْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ ، فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ ، وَأَمَرْتُكُمْ بِأَمْرٍ ، فَأْتُوا مَنَهُ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him):
“Indeed, the people before you were destroyed because of asking unnecessary questions from their prophets and differing with them. So when I forbid you from something, then avoid it, and when I command you to do something, then do it as much as you are able.”

Hadith 20
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ هُمَامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ، قَالَ : هَذَا مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا نَهِيَتُكُمْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ ، فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ ، وَمَا أَمَرْتُكُمْ بِالأَمْرِ ، فَأْتُوا مَنَهُ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“When I forbid you from something, then avoid it, and when I command you to do something, do it as much as you are able.”

Hadith 21
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ هُمَامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ذَرُونِي مَا تَرَكْتُكُمْ ، فَإِنَّمَا هَلَكَ مَنْ قَبْلُكُمْ بِسُؤَالِهِمْ وَاخْتِلافِهِمْ عَلَى أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ ، فَنَهِيَتُكُمْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ ، فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ ، وَأَمَرْتُكُمْ بِالشَّيْءِ ، فَأْتُوا مَنَهُ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Leave me as I leave you regarding a matter; for indeed, those before you were destroyed only because of their excessive questioning of their prophets and their disagreements with them.
So when I forbid you from something, avoid it, and when I command you to do something, do of it as much as you are able."
