المقدمةIntroduction
باب الاعتصام بالسنة وما يتعلق بها نقلا وأمرا وزجرا - ذكر الإخبار عما يجب على المرء من لزوم سنن المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم-
Chapter: Holding fast to the Sunnah – Reporting the obligation to adhere to the Prophet’s traditions.
Hadith 6
أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيَمُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْعُمَرِيُّ بِالْمَوْصِلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : خَطَّ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطًّا ، فَقَالَ : " هَذَا سَبِيلُ اللَّهِ " ، ثُمَّ خَطَّ خُطُوطًا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " وَهَذِهِ سُبُلٌ عَلَى كُلِّ سَبِيلٍ مِنْهَا شَيْطَانٌ يَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ " ، ثُمَّ تَلا : وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا سورة الأنعام آية 153 إِلَى آخِرِ الآيَةِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: (On one occasion) the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) drew a line before us and said: “This is the path of Allah.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drew some other lines to the right and left of that line, and then said: “These are different paths, upon each of which there is a devil calling towards it.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: “Indeed, this is My path, which is straight.” He recited this verse till the end.
