Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever a Muslim prays for his brother in his absence, the angel says, 'May you have the same, may you have the same.'" (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) In all the narrations, the narrator's (grandfather's) name is Kurayz (with a dammah on the 'k' and a fatha on the 'r'), whereas here it is transmitted as Kariz (with a fatha on the 'k' and a kasrah on the 'r'). The name of Sayyida Umm Darda (may Allah be pleased with her) is Hujaymah bint Hayyi, while the name of Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) is 'Uwaymir bin 'Amir.
