Hadith 966

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْخَلِيلِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : جَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَسْأَلُهُ خَادِمًا ، فَقَالَ لَهَا : " قُولِي : اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ ، وَرَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ ، رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ، أَنْتَ الظَّاهِرُ فَلَيْسَ فَوْقَكَ شَيْءٌ ، وَأَنْتَ الْبَاطِنُ فَلَيْسَ دُونَكَ شَيْءٌ ، مُنْزِلَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَالإِنْجِيلِ وَالْفُرْقَانِ ، فَالِقَ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوَى ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهِ ، أَنْتَ الأَوَّلُ فَلَيْسَ قَبْلَكَ شَيْءٌ ، وَأَنْتَ الآخَرُ فَلَيْسَ بَعْدَكَ شَيْءٌ ، اقْضِ عَنَّا الدَّيْنَ ، وَاغْنِنَا مِنَ الْفَقْرِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to ask him for a servant. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: You should recite this: "O Allah! Lord of the seven heavens, Lord of the Mighty Throne, our Lord and Lord of everything! You are the Manifest, there is nothing above You; You are the Hidden, there is nothing below You. O Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Furqan (i.e., the Qur'an). O Splitter of the grain and the date-stone. I seek refuge in You from the evil of everything whose forelock You have seized. You are the First, there was nothing before You; You are the Last, there will be nothing after You. Settle our debt for us and free us from poverty."
