Hadith 947

أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ طَلِيقِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " رَبِّ أَعِنِّي وَلا تُعِنْ عَلَيَّ ، وَانْصُرْنِي وَلا تَنَصُرْ عَلَيَّ ، وَامْكُرْ لِي ، وَلا تَمْكُرْ عَلَيَّ ، وَاهْدِنِي وَيَسِّرِ الْهُدَى لِي ، وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَى مَنْ بَغَى عَلَيَّ ، رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي لَكَ شَاكِرًا ، لَكَ ذَاكِرًا ، لَكَ أَوَّاهًا ، لَكَ مِطْوَاعًا ، لَكَ مُخْبِتًا أَوَّاهًا مُنِيبًا ، رَبِّ تَقَبَّلْ تَوْبَتِي ، وَاغْسِلْ حَوْبَتِي ، وَأَجِبْ دَعْوَتِي ، وَثَبِّتْ حُجَّتِي ، وَاهْدِ قَلْبِي ، وَسَدِّدْ لِسَانِي ، وَاسْلُلْ سَخِيمَةَ قَلْبِي " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: "O my Lord! Help me, and do not help against me. Support me, and do not support against me. Plan for me, and do not plan against me. Keep me firm upon guidance, and make it easy for me to remain steadfast upon guidance. And whoever opposes me, help me against him. O my Lord! Make me grateful to You, make me remember You, make me obedient to You, make me submissive to You, make me one who turns to You, humble and compliant. O my Lord! Accept my repentance, wash away my faults, accept my supplication, establish my proof, keep my heart firm upon guidance, keep my tongue correct, and protect me from the evils of my heart."
