Hadith 915

أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الطَّيِّبِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ ، غُلامُ طَالُوتَ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ بِالْبَصْرَةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْحَادِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ مَوْلَى الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَهُوَ مَسْرُورٌ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ الْمَلَكَ جَاءَنِي ، فَقَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ : أَمَا تَرْضَى أَنْ لا يُصَلِّي عَلَيْكَ عَبْدٌ مِنْ عِبَادِي صَلاةً ، إِلا صَلَّيْتُ عَلَيْهِ بِهَا عَشْرًا ، وَلا يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْكَ تَسْلِيمَةً ، إِلا سَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ بِهَا عَشْرًا ؟ قُلْتُ : بَلَى أَيْ رَبِّ " .
Abdullah bin Abu Talhah narrates from his father (Sayyiduna Abu Talhah, may Allah be pleased with him): One day the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came, and he was happy. He said: An angel came to me and said: O Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), Allah Almighty says: Are you not pleased that whoever among My servants sends blessings upon you once, I will send mercy upon him ten times in return, and whoever sends peace upon you once, I will send peace upon him ten times in return? So I replied: Yes! O my Lord.
