Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri رضي الله عنه and Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrate: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: When a servant recites «لا اله الا اللہ», the Lord affirms his statement, "He has spoken the truth: There is no deity except Me. I am the Greatest." «لا اله الا الله وحده», then his Lord, affirming his statement, says: "He has spoken the truth: There is no deity except Me. Only I am the deity." And when the servant says «لا الہ الا اللہ», then his Lord affirms his statement: "My servant has spoken the truth: There is no deity except Me and I have no partner." When the servant recites «لا الہ الا اللہ», then his Lord, affirming his statement, says: "My servant has spoken the truth: There is no deity except Me. Sovereignty belongs to Me and praise is exclusively for Me." And when the servant recites «لا اله الا الله لا حول ولا قوة الا باللہ», his Lord, affirming his statement, says: "My servant has spoken the truth: There is no deity except Me and nothing can happen without My help."
