Hadith 840

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ سَلْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ دَرَّاجٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " اسْتَكْثِرُوا مِنَ الْبَاقِيَاتِ الصَّالِحَاتِ " قِيلَ : وَمَا هُنَّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " التَّكْبِيرُ ، وَالتَّهْلِيلُ ، وَالتَّسْبِيحُ ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ، وَلا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلا بِاللَّهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do abundant good deeds that remain." It was asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by this? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It means reciting «سبحان الله», «الحمدالله», «الله اکبر», and «ولا حول ولا قوة»."
