Hadith 833

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ زَبْرٍ ، وَابْنُ جَابِرٍ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلامٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلْمَى رَاعِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلَقِيتُهُ بِالْكُوفَةِ فِي مَسْجِدِهَا ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " بَخٍ بَخٍ ، وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ بِخَمْسٍ مَا أَثْقَلَهُنَّ فِي الْمِيزَانِ : سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ، وَلا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ، وَالْوَلَدُ الصَّالِحُ يُتَوَفَّى لِلْمَرْءِ الْمُسْلِمِ فَيَحْتَسِبُهُ " .
Abu Salama, who was the shepherd of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), I met him in the mosque of Kufa, and he narrated this hadith to me. He says: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) saying: "Very good, very good." The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) indicated five with his blessed hand and said: "(These five things) are so heavy in the scale. Saying 'Subhan Allah', 'Alhamdulillah', 'La ilaha illallah', and 'Allahu Akbar', and that a Muslim's righteous child passes away and he hopes for reward for it."
