أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَامِدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْبَلْخِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : لَقِيتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ فِي الطَّوَافِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْهُ ، فَحَدَّثَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ قَرَأَ الآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ " .
Abdur Rahman bin Yazid narrates: During Tawaf, I met Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him). I asked him about this matter, so he told me that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, these two will suffice for him."
