أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ جَابِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ إِذْ أَتَانِي رَجُلانِ ، فَأَخَذَا بِضَبْعَيَّ ، فَأَتَيَا بِي جَبَلا وَعْرًا ، فَقَالا لِي : اصْعَدْ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنْتُ فِي سَوَاءِ الْجَبَلِ ، فَإِذَا أَنَا بِصَوْتٍ شَدِيدٍ ، فَقُلْتُ : مَا هَذِهِ الأَصْوَاتُ ؟ قَالَ : هَذَا عُوَاءُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ، ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ بِي فَإِذَا بِقَوْمٍ مُعَلَّقِينَ بِعَرَاقِيبِهِمْ مُشَقَّقَةٍ أَشْدَاقُهُمْ تَسِيلُ أَشْدَاقُهُمْ دَمًا ، فَقُلْتُ : مَنْ هَؤُلاءِ ؟ فَقِيلَ : هَؤُلاءِ الَّذِينَ يُفْطِرُونَ قَبْلَ تَحِلَّةِ صَوْمِهِمْ ، ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ بِي ، فَإِذَا بِقَوْمٍ أَشَدِّ شَيْءٍ انْتِفَاخًا ، وَأَنْتَنِهِ رِيحًا ، وَأَسْوَئِهِ مَنْظَرًا ، فَقُلْتُ : مَنْ هَؤُلاءِ ؟ قِيلَ : الزَّانُونَ وَالزَّوَانِي ، ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ بِي ، فَإِذَا بِنِسَاءٍ تَنْهَشُ ثَدْيَهُنَّ الْحَيَّاتُ ، قُلْتُ : مَا بَالُ هَؤُلاءِ ؟ قِيلَ : هَؤُلاءِ اللاتِي يَمْنَعْنَ أَوْلادَهُنَّ أَلْبَانَهُنَّ ، ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ بِي ، فَإِذَا أَنَا بِغِلْمَانٍ يَلْعَبُونَ بَيْنَ نَهْرَيْنِ ، فَقُلْتُ : مَنْ هَؤُلاءِ ؟ فَقِيلَ : هَؤُلاءِ ذَرَارِيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، ثُمَّ شَرَفَ بِي شَرَفًا ، فَإِذَا أَنَا بِثَلاثَةٍ يَشْرَبُونَ مِنْ خَمْرٍ لَهُمْ ، فَقُلْتُ : مَنْ هَؤُلاءِ ؟ قَالُوا : هَذَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ ، وَمُوسَى ، وَعِيسَى وَهُمْ يَنْتَظِرُونَكَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Once I was asleep when two men came to me, they took hold of my arm and brought me to a mountain. They said to me: Climb up. When I reached the top of the mountain, there was a tremendous noise. I asked them: What kind of sounds are these? They replied: This is the uproar and clamour of the people of Hell. Then they took me along and I saw some people hanging by their heels. Their cheeks were torn and blood was flowing from them. I asked: Who are these people? It was said: These are the ones who used to break their fast before the proper time. Then they took me along and I saw some people who were extremely bloated, their stench was extremely foul, and their condition was the worst. I asked: Who are these people? It was said: These are the men and women who committed adultery. Then they took me along and there were some women whose breasts were being bitten by snakes. I asked: What is their matter? It was said: These are the women who did not breastfeed their children. Then they took me along and I saw some boys who were playing between two rivers. I asked: Who are these? It was said: These are the children of the believers. Then they took me further up and there were three men present who were drinking a beverage. I asked: Who are these? The angels replied: This is Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him), Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him), and Sayyiduna Isa (peace be upon him). These gentlemen are waiting for you."
