Hadith 7463

أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " نَارُكُمْ هَذِهِ جُزْءٌ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنْ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ ضُرِبَتْ بِمَاءِ الْبَحْرِ ، وَلَوْلا ذَلِكَ مَا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهَا مَنْفَعَةً لأَحَدٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He learned of this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): Your fire is one seventieth part of the fire of Hell. Sea water has been poured over it. If it were not so, Allah would not have placed any benefit in it for anyone.
