Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Paradise and Hell argued with each other. Hell said: I have been given preference by means of the arrogant and tyrannical people. Paradise said: Only the weak and ordinary people will enter me. Allah Almighty said to Paradise: You are My mercy. Through you, I will show mercy to whomever I wish among My servants. And Allah Almighty said to Hell: You are My punishment. Through you, I will punish whomever I wish among My servants, and each of you will be filled. (The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, says:) As for Hell, it will not be filled until Allah Almighty places His foot in it, then it will say: Enough, enough. At that time, it will be filled, and one part of it will draw in another part. Allah Almighty will not wrong anyone. As for Paradise, Allah Almighty has created a special creation for it." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) By "foot" is meant the places of the disbelievers where they used to worship others besides Allah Almighty.
