Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to us on the night of the fourteenth (of the lunar month). He said: Soon you will see your Lord on the Day of Resurrection just as you are seeing this (i.e., the full moon of the fourteenth night); you will have no difficulty in seeing Him.
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) In all these narrations, there is mention of the vision of Allah, the Exalted. These narrations have been dismissed by the one who has not acquired knowledge, and he says: It is possible that Allah, the Exalted, may grant the honor of His vision to His chosen believing servants; may Allah include us among those people by His grace, so that there may be a distinction between the disbelievers and the believers. And in the Book (Qur’an) as well, the ruling is mentioned according to the Sunnah, which we have mentioned. As the statement of Allah, the Exalted, is: “Beware! That day they will be veiled from (seeing) their Lord.”
So when the ruling of veiling has been established for the disbelievers, this indicates that those who are not disbelievers will not be veiled. As for this world, in this world Allah, the Exalted, has created the creation to perish, so it is impossible for a perishable eye to see the Everlasting One. When Allah, the Exalted, will create this creation again and resurrect them from their graves, it will be for eternity. In that case, it will not be impossible for them to see their Lord with that eye which has been created to remain in the everlasting world, and they will see that which is everlasting. Only that person can deny this who is ignorant of knowledge and denies it through perverse opinion and evil analogy.
