Hadith 7405

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّ دَرَّاجًا حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " وَفُرُشٍ مَرْفُوعَةٍ ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، إِنَّ ارْتِفَاعَهَا لَكَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ ، وَإِنَّ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ لِمَسِيرَةِ خَمْسِ مِئَةِ سَنَةٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): (The command of Allah, the Exalted, is) "And there will be elevated couches." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul, they will be as high as the distance between the heaven and the earth, which is a journey of five hundred years.
