Hadith 7396

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْقَطَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ مَرْوَانَ الرَّقِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ لِيُرَى بَيَاضُ سَاقِهَا مِنْ سَبْعِينَ حُلَّةِ حَرِيرٍ ، وَذَلِكَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ : كَأَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ ، فَأَمَّا الْيَاقُوتُ ، فَإِنَّهُ حَجَرٌ لَوْ أَدْخَلْتَهُ سِلْكًا ثُمَّ اطَّلَعْتَ ، لَرَأَيْتَهُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The whiteness of the shin of a woman from among the people of Paradise will be visible from beneath seventy silk garments. The reason for this is that Allah Almighty has said: 'They are like rubies and coral.' Ruby is such a stone that if you put a thread through it and then look at it, you will be able to see it through the stone."
