Hadith 7382

أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْحَجَبِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا مُعَاهَدَةً بِغَيْرِ حَقِّهَا ، لَمْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَإِنَّ رِيحَ الْجَنَّةِ لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ مِئَةِ عَامٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Whoever unjustly kills a dhimmi (non-Muslim under Muslim protection) will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise, although its fragrance can be perceived from a distance of one hundred miles."
