Hadith 7376

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ يُوسُفَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، قَالَ : جَلَسْتُ إِلَى قَوْمٍ أَنَا رَابِعُهُمْ ، فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ بِشَفَاعَةِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَكْثَرُ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ " ، قَالَ : سِوَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " سِوَايَ " ، قُلْتُ : أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، فَلَمَّا قَامَ ، قُلْتُ : مَنْ هَذَا ؟ قَالُوا : ابْنُ الْجَدْعَاءِ، أَوِ ابْنُ أَبِي الْجَدْعَاءِ .
Abdullah bin Shaqiq narrates: I was sitting with some people. I was the fourth among them (that is, besides me there were three others). One of them said: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) say: "Because of the intercession of one individual from my Ummah, more people will enter Paradise than the number of Banu Tamim." The questioner asked: O Messenger of Allah! Will that person be someone other than you? The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: He will be other than me." Abdullah bin Shaqiq says: I asked, Did you yourself hear this from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)? That person replied: Yes. When that person got up, I asked: Who was he? The people said: This was Ibn Jadh'aa (the narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words:) Ibn Abu Jadh'aa.
