Hadith 7362

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : لا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلا عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " رَحِمَ اللَّهُ عَبْدًا كَانَتْ لأَخِيهِ عِنْدَهُ مَظْلَمَةٌ فِي نَفْسٍ ، أَوْ مَالٍ ، فَأَتَاهُ ، فَاسْتَحَلَّ مِنْهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُؤْخَذَ مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ حَسَنَاتٌ ، أُخِذَ مِنْ سَيِّئَاتِ صَاحِبِهِ ، فَتُوضَعُ فِي سَيِّئَاتِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah have mercy on the servant who has wronged his brother regarding his life or wealth, then comes to his brother and seeks forgiveness for his wrongdoing before his good deeds are taken, and if he has no good deeds, then his companion's sins are taken and added to his sins."
