Hadith 7355

أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانِ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَا نَحْنُ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ نَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ إِذْ عَارَضَهُ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : يَا ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، كَيْفَ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَذْكُرُ النَّجْوَى ؟ فَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " يَدْنُو الْمُؤْمِنُ مِنْ رَبِّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يَضَعَ عَلَيْهِ كَنَفَهُ ، ثُمَّ يُقَرِّرُهُ بِذُنُوبِهِ ، فَيَقُولُ : هَلْ تَعْرِفُ ؟ فَيَقُولُ : رَبِّ أَعْرِفُ ، حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَبْلُغَ ، قَالَ : فَإِنِّي قَدْ سَتَرْتُهَا عَلَيْكَ فِي الدُّنْيَا ، وَأَنَا أَغْفِرُهَا لَكَ الْيَوْمَ ، ثُمَّ يُعْطَى صَحِيفَةَ حَسَنَاتِهِ ، وَأَمَّا الْكَافِرُ وَالْمُنَافِقُ ، فَيُنَادَى عَلَى رُؤُوسِ الأَشْهَادِ : هَؤُلاءِ الَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ ، أَلا لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ " .
Sayyiduna Safwan bin Mihriz Mazni (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once we were performing Tawaf of the House of Allah with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). During this, a man came before him and said: O Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar! What have you heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say about whispering (private conversation with Allah)? Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "On the Day of Resurrection, the believer will be brought close to his Lord, until He will cover him with His screen and then make him confess his sins. The Lord will say: Do you recognize these? He will say: O my Lord! I recognize them, until the matter will reach to the extent that Allah wills it to reach. Then the Lord will say: I concealed your faults in the world and today I forgive them for you. Then he will be given the record of his good deeds." But as for the disbeliever and the hypocrite, he will be called out before all the people (and it will be said, as mentioned in the Qur'an): "These are the ones who lied against their Lord. Beware! The curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers."
