Hadith 7338

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَوْ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " سَبْعَةٌ يُظِلُّهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي ظِلِّهِ يَوْمَ لا ظِلَّ إِلا ظِلُّهُ : إِمَامٌ عَادِلٌ ، وَشَابٌّ نَشَأَ فِي عُبَادَةِ اللَّهِ ، وَرَجُلٌ قَلْبُهُ مُعَلَّقٌ بِالْمَسْجِدِ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْهُ حَتَّى يَعُودَ إِلَيْهِ ، وَرَجُلانِ تَحَابَّا فِي اللَّهِ اجْتَمَعَا عَلَى ذَلِكَ وَتَفَرَّقَا ، وَرَجُلٌ ذَكَرَ اللَّهَ خَالِيًا فَفَاضَتْ عَيْنَاهُ ، وَرَجُلٌ دَعَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ ذَاتُ حَسَبٍ وَجَمَالٍ ، فَقَالَ : إِنِّي أَخَافُ اللَّهَ ، وَرَجُلٌ تَصَدَّقَ بِصَدَقَةٍ فَأَخْفَاهَا حَتَّى لا تَعْلَمَ شِمَالُهُ مَا تُنْفِقُ يَمِينُهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) — (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words:) Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “There are seven people whom Allah will grant His special shade on the Day when there will be no shade except His shade: a just ruler; a youth who grows up in the worship of Allah; a person whose heart remains attached to the mosque, such that when he leaves the mosque, he longs to return to it; two people who love each other for the sake of Allah, meeting and parting only for His sake; a person who remembers Allah in solitude and his eyes overflow with tears; a man whom a woman of status and beauty invites (to sin), but he says, ‘I fear Allah’; and a person who gives charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has spent.”
