Hadith 7333

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ مِقْدَارَ نِصْفِ يَوْمٍ مِنْ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ يُهَوِّنُ ذَلِكَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، كَتَدَلِّي الشَّمْسِ لِلْغُرُوبِ إِلَى أَنْ تَغْرُبَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "And the people will stand before the Lord of all the worlds for a duration equal to half of that day, which is a day of fifty thousand years. This will be so easy for the Muslims as the time between the sun's nearing its rising until its setting."
