Hadith 7314

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الشَّرْقِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الذُّهْلِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الرَّقِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ إِذَا أَنْزَلَ سَطْوَتَهُ بِأَهْلِ الأَرْضِ وَفِيهِمُ الصَّالِحُونَ فَيَهْلِكُونَ بِهَلاكِهِمْ ؟ فَقَالَ : " يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ إِذَا أَنْزَلَ سَطْوَتَهُ بِأَهْلِ نِقْمَتِهِ وَفِيهِمُ الصَّالِحُونَ ، فَيُصَابُونَ مَعَهُمْ ، ثُمَّ يُبْعَثُونَ عَلَى نِيَّاتِهِمْ وَأَعْمَالِهِمْ " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! When Allah sends His punishment upon the people of the earth, if there are righteous people among them, will they also be destroyed along with them?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Aisha, when Allah sends punishment upon the punished people and there are righteous people among them, the punishment also befalls them. But then, according to their intentions and their deeds, they will be resurrected (on the Day of Judgment)."
