Hadith 7311

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ سَمِعَ رَجُلا مِنَ الْيَهُودِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : وَالَّذِي اصْطَفَى مُوسَى عَلَى الْبَشَرِ ، فَرَفَعَ يَدَهُ فَلَطَمَهُ ، فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّهُ قَالَ : وَالَّذِي اصْطَفَى مُوسَى عَلَى الْبَشَرِ وَأَنْتَ نَبِيُّنَا ، فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يُنْفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ ، فَيَصْعَقُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ ، وَمَنْ فِي الأَرْضِ إِلا مِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ، ثُمَّ يُنْفَخُ فِيهِ أُخْرَى ، فَأَكُونُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ ، فَإِذَا مُوسَى آخِذٌ بِقَائِمَةٍ مِنْ قَوَائِمِ الْعَرْشِ ، فَلا أَدْرِي أَكَانَ مِمَّنِ اسْتَثْنَى اللَّهُ أَمْ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ قَبْلِي ، وَمَنْ قَالَ : أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى ، فَقَدْ كَذَبَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man from the Ansar heard a Jew saying: "By the One Who gave Musa (peace be upon him) superiority over all mankind." The Ansari stretched out his hand and slapped that man. This matter was mentioned to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Ansari said: "O Messenger of Allah! This man said: 'By the One Who gave Musa (peace be upon him) superiority over all mankind,' even though you are our Prophet." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Trumpet will be blown, and everyone in the heavens and the earth will fall unconscious except whom Allah wills (that they do not fall unconscious). Then it will be blown a second time, and I will be the first to raise my head. At that time, Musa (peace be upon him) will be holding onto one of the pillars of the Throne. I do not know whether he is among those whom Allah exempted, or if he raised his head before me. And whoever says: 'I am better than Yunus bin Matta,' he has spoken wrongly."
