Hadith 7310

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَازِعِ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ الأَسْلَمِيِّ ، قَالَ : بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلا إِلَى حَيٍّ مِنْ أَحْيَاءِ الْعَرَبِ فِي شَيْءٍ ، لا أَدْرِي مَا قَالَ ، فَسَبُّوهُ وَضَرَبُوهُ ، فَرَجَعَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَشَكَا إِلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : " لَكِنْ أَهْلُ عُمَانَ لَوْ أَتَاهُمْ رَسُولِي مَا سَبُّوهُ وَلا ضَرَبُوهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Barzah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a person to an Arab tribe. I do not know what he instructed him: those people abused that person and beat him. That person returned to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and complained before him, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If my messenger had gone to the people of Oman, they would not have abused him nor beaten him.
