Hadith 7297

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ بِحَرَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً ، الإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ ، وَالْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ ، وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَّةٌ ، وَالْفَخْرُ ، وَالْخُيَلاءُ فِي أَصْحَابِ الإِبِلِ ، وَالْوَقَارُ فِي أَصْحَابِ الْغَنَمِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The people of Yemen have come to you; they are possessors of gentle hearts. Faith is Yemeni. Understanding is Yemeni. Wisdom (prudence) is Yemeni, whereas pride and arrogance are found among those who rear camels, while dignity is found among those who rear goats."
