Hadith 7266

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمَقَابِرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ : أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ يَوْمًا عَاصِبًا رَأْسَهُ ، فَتَلَقَّاهُ ذَرَارِيُّ الأَنْصَارِ وَخَدَمُهُمْ مَا هُمْ بِوجُوهِ الأَنْصَارِ يَوْمَئِذٍ ، فَقَالَ : " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لأُحِبُّكُمْ " ، مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاثًا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنَّ الأَنْصَارَ قَدْ قَضَوَا الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمْ ، وَبَقِيَ الَّذِي عَلَيْكُمْ ، فَأَحْسِنُوا إِلَى مُحْسِنِهِمْ ، وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came out, and he had a band tied on his head. Some children and servants of the Ansar came before him, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, I love you people. He said this two or three times. Then he said: Indeed, the Ansar have fulfilled that which was obligatory upon them, and now that which is obligatory upon you remains, so do good to the good among them and overlook the faults of the bad among them.
