Hadith 7255

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ الصُّوفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا تَسُبُّوا أَصْحَابِي ، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ أَنْفَقَ مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا ، مَا أَدْرَكَ مُدَّ أَحَدِهِمْ ، وَلا نَصِيفَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Do not speak ill of my companions. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, if any one of you were to spend gold equal to (the mountain of) Uhud, it would not equal even a mudd or half of it (in charity) given by any one of them (the Companions)."
