Hadith 7253

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَطَّانُ بِالرَّقَّةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ مَرْوَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تَسُبُّوا أَصْحَابِي ، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ أَنْفَقَ مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا ، مَا أَدْرَكَ مُدَّ أَحَدِهِمْ ، وَلا نَصِيفَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Do not speak ill of my Companions. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! If any one of you were to spend gold equal to (the mountain of) Uhud, it would not equal a single ‘mud’ spent by any one of them, or even half of it.”
