Hadith 7248

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَامِرٌ الْعُقَيْلِيُّ ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عُرِضَ عَلَيَّ أَوَّلُ ثَلاثَةٍ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ : الشَّهِيدُ ، وَعَبْدٌ مَمْلُوكٌ أَحْسَنَ عِبَادَةَ رَبِّهِ وَنَصَحَ لِسَيِّدِهِ ، وَعَفِيفٌ مُتَعَفِّفٌ ذُو غِنًى أَوْ مَالٍ " .
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Three people were presented before me who will enter Paradise first. One is the martyr, the second is the slave who worships his Lord well and is sincere to his master, and the third is the person who is prosperous (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words:) who is wealthy." And who refrains from the unlawful and from seizing the wealth present with others.
