Hadith 7246

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْحِمْصِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، وَأَبَى الْيَمَانِ الهوزني ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَعَدَنِي أَنْ يُدْخِلَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي الْجَنَّةَ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ " ، فَقَالَ : يَزِيدُ بْنُ الأَخْنَسِ السُّلَمِيُّ : وَاللَّهِ مَا أُولَئِكَ فِي أُمَّتِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِلا كَالذُّبَابِ الأَصْهَبِ فِي الذِّبَّانِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ رَبِّي قَدْ وَعَدَنِي سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا مَعَ كُلِّ أَلْفٍ سَبْعُينَ أَلْفًا وَزَادَنِي حَثَيَاتٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Allah Almighty has promised me that He will admit seventy thousand individuals from my Ummah into Paradise without any reckoning. Upon this, Sayyiduna Yazid bin Akhnas Salmi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: By Allah, O Messenger of Allah! In your Ummah, (these seventy thousand people) will be like a handful of sand compared to a mound. So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, my Lord has promised me that they will be seventy thousand people, and with each thousand, there will be seventy thousand more, and along with them, there will be some additional handfuls (i.e., the Lord will free countless people from Hell).
