Hadith 7223

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خَيْرُ أُمَّتِي الْقَرْنُ الَّذِينَ يَلُونِي ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ، ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ قَوْمٌ تَسْبِقُ شَهَادَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ يَمِينَهُ وَيَمِينُهُ شَهَادَتَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best era of my Ummah is the one after me, then the one after them, then the one after them. Then there will come people among whom the testimony of one will precede his oath, and his oath will precede his testimony."
