Hadith 7219

أَخْبَرَنَا وَصِيفُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَافِظُ بِأَنْطَاكِيَّةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمُرَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَجَاوَزَ عَنْ أُمَّتِي الْخَطَأَ ، وَالنِّسْيَانَ ، وَمَا اسْتُكْرِهُوا عَلَيْهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, Allah the Exalted has pardoned my Ummah for mistakes, forgetfulness, and what they are compelled to do."
