Hadith 7201

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلا تُرِيحُنِي مِنْ ذِي الْخَلَصَةِ " ، بَيْتًا كَانَ لِخَثْعَمٍ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يُسَمَّى الْكَعْبَةَ الْيَمَانِيَّةَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي رَجُلٌ لا أَثْبُتُ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ ، قَالَ : فَمَسَحَ صَدْرِي ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ هَادِيًا مَهْدِيًّا " ، حَتَّى وَجَدْتُ بَرْدَهَا .
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Will you not relieve me regarding Dhi-Khalasah?" (The narrator says) This was an idol-house of the tribe of Khath'am in the time of ignorance, which was called the Yemeni Ka'bah. The narrator says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! I am a person who cannot sit firmly on a horse." The narrator says: So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over my chest and said: "O Allah, make him a guide and a source of guidance."
The narrator says: Until I felt the coolness of his blessed hand.
