Hadith 7164

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِقَصْعَةٍ ، فَأَصَبْنَا مِنْهَا ، فَفَضَلَتْ فَضْلَةٌ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَطْلُعُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْفَجِّ يَأْكُلُ هَذِهِ الْقَصْعَةَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " ، فَقَالَ سَعْدٌ : وَكُنْتُ تَرَكْتُ أَخِي عُمَيْرًا يَتَطَهَّرُ ، فَقُلْتُ : هُوَ أَخِي ، فَجَاءَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَلامٍ فَأَكَلَهَا .
Mus'ab bin Sa'd narrates from his father: A bowl was brought to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). We ate from it, and some was left over. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: From this path, a person will come before you who will eat from this bowl, and he will be from among the people of Paradise. Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I had left my brother Umair making ablution, so I thought it would be my brother, but Abdullah bin Salam came and he ate that food.
