Hadith 7129

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ عُمَرُ ، نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ مُعَاذُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْجَمُوحِ ، نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ ، نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ وَبِئْسَ الرَّجُلُ حَتَّى عَدَّ سَبْعَةً " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Abu Bakr is a good man, Umar is a good man, Mu'adh bin Amr is a good man, Mu'adh bin Jabal is a good man, and Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah is a good man, and such-and-such person is a bad man," until the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned the names of seven people (that they are bad).
