Hadith 7120

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ بِعَسْقَلانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهِبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدًا لِحَاطِبِ بْنِ أَبِي بَلْتَعَةَ جَاءَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، لَيَدْخُلَنَّ حَاطِبٌ النَّارَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَذَبْتَ ، إِنَّهُ لا يَدْخُلُهَا ، فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَالْحُدَيْبِيَةَ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The slave of Sayyiduna Hatib bin Abi Balta’ah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), Hatib will surely enter Hell. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: You have lied; he will not enter Hell because he participated in the Battle of Badr and the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah.
