Hadith 7118

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ الْحَكَمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَزَوَّجَهَا وَهِيَ بِنْتُ سِتٍّ ، وَأُدْخِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ وَهِيَ ابْنَةُ تِسْعٍ ، وَمَكَثَتْ عِنْدَهُ تِسْعًا " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : إِلَى هَا هُنَا هُمُ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ ، وَإِنَّا نَذْكُرُ بَعْدَ هَؤُلاءِ حُلَفَاءَ قُرَيْشٍ إِنِ اللَّهُ يَسَّرَ ذَلِكَ وَسَهَّلَهُ .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) married her, she was six years old, and when she went to live with him, she was nine years old, and she stayed with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) for nine years.
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) Up to this point, the mention was of the emigrants from the Quraysh; now, after this, we will mention the allies of the Quraysh, if Allah Almighty makes it easy and facilitates it.
