Hadith 7112

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنِّي لأَعْلَمُ إِذَا كُنْتِ عَنِّي رَاضِيَةً وَإِذَا كُنْتِ عَلَيَّ غَضْبَى " ، قَالَتْ : وَبِمَ تَعْرِفُ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " إِذَا كُنْتِ عَنِّي رَاضِيَةً ، فَحَلَفْتِ ، قُلْتِ : لا وَرَبُّ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَإِذَا كُنْتِ عَلَيَّ غَضْبَى ، قُلْتِ : لا وَرَبُّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ " ، قُلْتُ : أَجَلْ ، مَا أَهْجُرُ إِلا اسْمَكَ .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said to me: I can tell when you are pleased with me and when you are angry with me. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), how do you know this? The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: When you are pleased with me, while swearing an oath you say, "By the Lord of Muhammad (peace be upon him)!" And when you are angry with me, you say, "By the Lord of Ibrahim (peace be upon him)!" So I said: Yes, but I only leave out your name.
