Hadith 7102

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ الْقُطَيْعِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : لَمَّا أُنْزِلَ عُذْرِي مِنَ السَّمَاءِ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَبْشِرِي فَقَدْ أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عُذْرَكِ " ، قُلْتُ : بِحَمْدِ اللَّهِ لا بِحَمْدِكَ .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the command regarding my exoneration was revealed from the sky, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Glad tidings for you, Allah Almighty has revealed the command regarding your exoneration." So I said: "I praise Allah; I do not praise you."
