أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ الْمَكِّيُّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : جَاءَ بِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي خِرْقَةِ حَرِيرٍ ، فَقَالَ : " هَذِهِ زَوْجَتُكَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Sayyiduna Jibreel brought me (that is, my image) to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). (That image) was in a silk cloth. Sayyiduna Jibreel said: She is your honorable wife in this world and in the Hereafter.
